Tech Tips

TECH TIPS: SYNTHETIC OIL VS. STANDARD
Coming Soon.

TECH TIPS: EXTENDED SERVICE PLANS
Extended service plans are usually offered when you buy a new vehicle, if you decline to purchase an extended service plan at this time then you still have the option to buy one later on. Extended warranties offer a few things that factory warranties won’t cover, such as optional tire and wheel coverage.

When you hit a pothole and need to get your bike to a shop there are usually a few costs that build up rather quickly. Things like a tow truck, new tires and/or new rim, rental costs, and sometimes lodging and meal expenses while you wait for the bike to be repaired are examples of some out of pocket expenses you might incur. The optional tire and wheel coverage that extended warranties offer could help you with all of these expenses, unlike your standard factory warranty coverage.

Extended warranties will also continue to cover mechanical issues once your factory warranty has expired for up to 7 years (based on what coverage options you purchase), but it is crucial that you maintain your vehicle to factory specifications by having regular maintenance performed by verified service centers.

If the vehicle isn’t new when you purchase it, you still have the option to apply an extended warranty to the used vehicle. For more information on extended service plans, please feel free to call us at 585-424-2120.

TECH TIPS: REGULAR MAINTENANCE
If you don’t have an owner’s manual, you should get one! The owner’s manual for your bike/ATV/scooter contains a lot of important information that could be right there at your finger tips, everything from tire pressure to maintenance schedules for regularly needed services and so much more!

Our Parts and Accessories Department would be happy to order one for your specific bike. Or if you prefer, contact our Service Department for recommended maintenance intervals.

When breaking in a new unit it is very important to get the break-in service performed, skipping services is not good for the unit and may cause issues down the road, such as leaks, broken bolts or poor performance. These problems often cost more to repair than the preventative maintenance! Remember motor oil is cheaper than engine work!

New vehicles have factory warranty, however it is your responsibility as an owner to complete preventative maintenance service, which will also maintain your warranty coverage.
